Season

A season groups races under one competitive cycle, with clear states from announcement through Results out and official season standings.

A season is a set of races under one competitive cycle. It gives the calendar and narrative arc for a period of URX competition.

Season lifecycle follows structural states (defined in Foundational Principles):

  • Upcoming — announced; not yet Live
  • Live — active; includes ongoing races
  • Completed — all races in the season have finished; season standings may still be under review
  • Results outofficial season standings are published

Series (themed groups of races) may appear within a season; they do not replace the season as the main organizational frame.

The season lifecycle governs how URX schedules and groups races: publication cadence, which races are Live together, and how season-level aggregation and official season standings (when published) sit above any single event. Races always belong to a season in this model; the season frame is what ties calendar, narrative, and rollup results.

Details of scheduling, publication, and per-race timing sit under Race lifecycle—start with Race lifecycle overview in this Rulebook.
