Institutional Integrity

Governance terms in URX—eligibility, qualification, disqualification, promotion—are used precisely so rules apply fairly and consistently.

URX speaks with the authority of a competitive body: structured, direct, and serious about performance—without unnecessary bureaucracy.

Regulatory language carries procedural weight. Use it precisely:

  • Eligibility — Whether an athlete may enter a race or participate under given rules.
  • Qualification — Meeting entry standards or thresholds (for example for a division).
  • Rule Violation — A breach of published rules.
  • Disqualification (DQ) — Removal from results or standings where rules require it.
  • Penalty — A scored consequence applied to a submission without full disqualification.
  • Promotion — Movement to a higher division group based on verified performance.
  • Downgrade — Movement to a lower division group due to rule enforcement, correction, or administrative decision.
  • Exempt — A temporary state in which an athlete is released from race participation requirements and progression impact; while Exempt is active, races do not affect level, status, or progression metrics.
  • Shield — A protective state that prevents negative race outcomes (for example DNS or DNF) from affecting the athlete’s status or progression.

Clarity protects fairness. Casual or marketing use of these terms undermines trust in standings and verified outcomes.
