A race entry is the right to participate in a given race. After registration (checkout) succeeds, the athlete holds one entry per race—no duplicate entries for the same person in the same race.
With an entry, the athlete becomes a participant in that race and may pursue verified results according to the mechanic and race window.
Entries closed (or registration closed) means the race no longer accepts new race entries—distinct from “full results” or Results out.
Do not confuse:
Wildcard access can supplement normal eligibility so an athlete may enter a race they would otherwise be locked out of; see Wildcard in this section.
