Race

A race is a single competitive event with published mechanics, eligibility, a race window, and lifecycle states through Results out.

A race is one competitive event where athletes vie under a published mechanic and published rules.

Each race has:

  • Availability (who is eligible to enter—see Participation & Eligibility)
  • A race window—the period when the race accepts performances (and when the leaderboard / live standings apply, while Live)
  • Race state: Upcoming, Live, Under review, or Results out (see Foundational Principles)
  • Participantsathletes who hold a race entry
  • A race brief (and where offered, a tactical brief) so the field knows constraints and context before going Live

Race standings cover a single race; season or league standings aggregate across races.

Publication, registration, entries closed, and window timing are covered under Race Lifecycle.
