Global ranking and league tables that share this engine order athletes in two layers:
A junior level with an enormous points total does not outrank someone on a higher career level with fewer points: points decide place only among peers at the same level.
Only URX Points credited in the last 365 days enter that second sort key. Older points drop out—if you idle, you slide within your level band as the bucket shrinks. Defense and how you earn level stay in Level calculation; here the window only feeds the points tiebreaker.
If you promote career level but your window URX Points total is unchanged, your overall # can improve sharply—you enter a higher block that sorts earlier in the list, then take your place by points among that block (see the League rankings demo: same 530 points, higher rank after ADV vs SKL).
A global / league table is not the live board for one race (Leaderboard (Live)) or that race’s official standings (Official standings).

League Standings
League standings rank athletes first by career level, then by URX Points in the rolling window within each level—the same logic as the global table and the league rankings demo.
Ranking Scope (World / Country / Age Group)
When the product offers filters—world, country, age group—they slice the same ranking rules; scopes do not invent parallel rule sets.
