Multirun, fixed 40 km total, as many runs as needed inside the dates. Scoring follows the mechanic — best total time on the distance once work is verified (detail in the Rulebook).

Clock (UTC). The race is open UTC from 00:00 on 1 February through 23:59 on 28 February. Only runs published to Moon in that span count; how the forty kilometres split across days is up to the entrant, within format and verification rules.

After the period ends. 28 February closes the live phase; official standings follow later. A gap of a few days before Results out is normal; heavier fields can take longer while verification clears. Provisional order can move until the race is Results out.

Forty kilometres across February: a full-month forty, more room than a two-week classic, still a distance that disappears if the first two weeks stay empty. Split it evenly or in fewer, longer runs — the dates do not wait for a late start to become a plan.

February is already stacked when this race opens. Osaka (120 km Multirun) is live through 10 March. 18+ (Classic, 18 km) starts the same day and runs until the 14th. Maya (Pace Ladder, 50 km) and Beta (Pace Lock, 100 km, 4:00–5:00) close on the 10th. Rome (Distance Lock, 50 km, runs of 5–10 km) until the 15th. Supernova (50 km Multirun, Cosmic) opens on the 15th. Unfrozen covers the whole quarter and does not close calendar gaps.

• Early vs late — Clear the forty while February is still wide, or compress toward month-end and accept a thinner recovery lane if something slips. Supernova opens mid-month.

• Many short runs vs fewer long ones — Tracking friction and fatigue trade against flexibility.

• Enter vs stay out — A defined 40 km with proof, or no line on this race. Skipping it is a choice that registers.

A completed 40 km multirun is a clean line: finished or not, inside the UTC dates or not. Late entry still works if the kilometres fit before 23:59 on 28 February UTC.

At Results out, the race locks; until then, provisional standings may still move.
