Clock (UTC). The window runs 00:00 on 10 July through 23:59 on 20 July. One verified run inside that span is the race.

After the window. The live phase closes on 20 July; official standings follow after verification. The Rulebook maps Under review → Results out; provisional order can shift until the race is finalised.

Why “1969”. A year that still reads like a hinge: one small step on the Moon, one loud summer on Earth. The Historic series marks lines worth remembering; this nine kilometres is one of them.

Nine kilometres at race pace, clean verification, once. The Classic format does not allow the load to be spread across sessions; the whole distance must appear in a single verified activity.

July is opening: Monet and Depth 100 are already live, Buenos Aires runs underneath everything. Inside that stack, this is the shortest fixed target on the early calendar. The entry cost is low; the precision required is not.

• When to go — Ten days is enough room to wait for a good day, but not enough to keep delaying. Entering early removes a variable; leaving it late adds one.

• Pace vs verification — Nine kilometres at a stretch that passes verification is the only ask. Overreaching on pace in a busy July week is a separate risk.

• Enter vs stay out — One clean submission counts in full against everyone who does not race. There is no partial result for almost going.

A verified 9 km in the Classic line is in the record. 1969 and Thirteen are the season’s short classics; this one lands first, while longer formats are already stacking.

A result here registers against anyone who skips it. At Results out, the race locks; until then, provisional positions can move.
