Black Hole

Pace Ladder, fixed 50 km total. Each newly published run must improve the pace of the previous one. As many runs as needed, provided every one clears that bar. A slower run cannot be published here. Scoring follows the mechanic (detail in the Rulebook).

Clock (UTC). The race is open UTC from 00:00 on 1 April through 23:59 on 30 April. Only runs published to Black Hole in that span count.

After the period ends. 30 April closes the live phase; official standings follow later. A gap of a few days before Results out is normal; heavier fields can take longer while verification clears. Provisional order can move until the race is Results out.

Fifty kilometres in April, with a rising pace bar. An easy first run becomes a trap if you cannot beat it later. Split the fifty however you like — the ladder still tightens after every counted run.

April is already stacked when this race opens. Vrubel (100 km Multirun) starts the same day and runs through 15 May. Aztecs (Classic, 20 km) closes on the 20th. Egypt (70 km Multirun) opens on the 20th. Avalanche covers the whole quarter and does not close calendar gaps.

• Opening pace — Start with headroom, or push the first run and risk a wall.

• Many short runs vs fewer long ones — Each counted run raises the bar. That choice sets how tight the ladder gets.

• Enter vs stay out — Close 50 km on a Pace Ladder, or no line on this race.

A completed 50 km Pace Ladder is a clean line: finished or not, inside the UTC dates or not. Late entry still works if the kilometres and the ladder fit before 23:59 on 30 April UTC.

At Results out, the race locks; until then, provisional standings may still move.
