Business Run is on day five, and this is no longer a warm-up. Format Open: no fixed target distance — the contest is total kilometres inside the period from 1 to 21 August UTC. By the evening of 5 August the protocol shows 28 athletes, 65 runs and 605 km, with sixteen days still left on the clock. You can already see who treated the start as a campaign, and who is making a first serious race in the URX league and landing straight in the standings.
The real shape of the race is starting to show — and nothing is decided yet. In a three-week Open, any quiet spell quickly becomes a hole in the table.
Men’s front: daily volume against a two-day surge
Aleksey Priyeshkin leads with 82.0 km across five runs — one for every day of the period. Average pace around 5:16 min/km. Opening on 1 August: 30.6 km; then a steady 12–15 km series, today’s 14.8 km at 5:08. Not a one-off gesture — a mode: every calendar day of the race is already marked in the protocol.
Context beyond this start sharpens the read. Priyeshkin is an ambassador, global rank #3, M50 (second in the age group), PRO-III, three career wins and 13 races closed at 2,440+ km lifetime. Ninety-day pace around 5:20 — so this Business Run block continues his form rather than breaking from it, in a format where the only argument is kilometres.
Ilya Muzurov is second — 74.2 km, built differently. Four runs across only two active days: 3 August in three blocks (21.2 + 10.1 + 21.4 km), 4 August another 21.6 km. In forty-eight hours, almost the leader’s five-day total. Pace around 6:04. Muzurov is also an ambassador, Challenger, SKL, 45 races closed and nearly 4,900 career km; no wins in the absolute, but a habit of turning a virtual start into long, dense days. Priyeshkin’s gap is about eight kilometres — it holds, but over three weeks that is not yet a wall.
Further down, the men’s group looks like the familiar Season 263 core, already with real distance on the board: Vyacheslav Krymskiy — 50.6 km, Vadim Terekhov — 44.7 km, Rafael Shaymardanov — 39.5 km. Krymskiy goes through forest and embankment and sets his own tone: «По лесу и тропам в режиме тренажёра», later «По набережной и тротуарам в режиме тренажёра в зоне 0-1». Not an attack on the leader — controlled accumulation from a man with 21 races closed and three career wins. Shaymardanov, sixth in the global ranking with 48 races closed, already put down 16.5 km on 4 August and still sits where two remaining weeks can apply pressure.
Newcomers are not at the bottom of the table
The most interesting line in this desk is not only the familiar names at the top. Several newcomers to the URX running league are already in the race; some sit not in the tail but inside the overall top ten.
Evgeniy Tindikov is a league newcomer, and he already has 37.5 km and sixth overall — right behind Shaymardanov, ahead of part of the veteran field. Five runs; key day 2 August: 18.1 km at about 5:01 plus a set of shorter pieces. For Open that is a clear signal — he did not dip a toe in; he took volume the mid-first-week table already has to respect.
Sergey Zholobov is also on a first lap in the league: 29.7 km, eighth, five outings. Almost every time he leaves the same short «Hardy»; on 3 August he adds «Hardy AI» for 6.1 km at 4:36 — one of the fastest verified runs in the race longer than three kilometres. His chunk averages about 5:03. Another newcomer archetype: not a long day, but frequent fast pieces. In a race the organisers themselves tie to sports technology, those lines do not sound accidental — they are part of how he enters the protocol.
Artem I steps into his first race in the URX league today — and on the same day logs 23.6 km in two runs (8.6 and 15.0 km). Ninth overall from the threshold. In Open, where time on the board matters, that kind of entry is rare — and an uncomfortable signal to anyone still waiting, thinking “first week, plenty of time.”
In the women’s table newcomers sound even louder, because the field is still thinner.
Women’s standings: Dmitrieva leads, a league newcomer sits second
Elena Dmitrieva leads the women with 20.0 km in two runs (9.0 and 11.0 km, pace around 6:51). A familiar voice this season: ambassador, global rank #4, W50, one career win, 19 races closed. For Business Run her current volume is modest against the men’s front — but in the women’s protocol it is still enough to hold first. The gap does not look closed: too many days remain until 21 August.
Right behind her is Irina Shcherbakova, a newcomer to the URX running league: 18.9 km, two runs. 1 August — 5.8 km, 3 August — 13.1 km. The gap to the leader is under a kilometre and a half. If you only read “who among the veterans,” women’s second is easy to miss; if you read the protocol, it is already a real competitive line from someone for whom this start is among the first in the league.
Maria Hoggett is another new voice: 11.9 km, two runs, pace around 5:54. Oksana Dementieva, near her on volume (12.6 km), goes out in the heat and does not hide it: «Жарко 💥». Olga Sukharevskaya at 12.7 km is a different case: 22 races closed and a career bronze; for her Business Run is more a season continuation than an entry into the league.
Voices along the distance
Aleksey Kretov goes out for 4.4 km on 2 August and says exactly what the newcomer field feels: «Первый забег на платформе URX. Пока интересно. Посмотрим, что будет дальше». Three runs, 13.9 km — he is not leading and does not have to; he marks that the race is gathering more than people who have already closed dozens of starts.
Zhargal Bazarov is still on 13.1 km in the protocol, but at a different density of pace. First a short warm-up: «Разминка перед силовой тренировкой». Then 11.0 km at 4:41 and, honestly: «Нужно восстановиться…» Four career wins, global #5, M40 #2 — a résumé like that is early to write off on current kilometres. In Open his line still reads as a pause that keeps speed, not as a withdrawal.
Aleksey Khomyakov has already described a night trail on Alfa-Bitza — «жуть горки вверх-вниз» — and sits on 20.3 km; global #2 in M30, two career wins. Darya Lazutina comes out with another reason: «Благотворительный забег от РЖД✅» — 5.2 km, Challenger, first in W18, nine races closed. Small volume, but a recognisable Season handwriting: the virtual start often shares a day with an offline story.
Tatyana Vlasova leaves a city postcard — «Парк Маяковского 🔥» — at 7.3 km. Not about the leaderboard; about how the race already sounds in different voices while the fight for kilometres continues at the front.
What day five shows
From 1 to 5 August daily field volume swung between 84 and 162 km; the peak fell on 3 August (18 runs, 14 athletes). The structure is already double. At the top — familiar ambassadors and dense volume days: Priyeshkin accumulates methodically, Muzurov can compress nearly-leader kilometres into a short blast. Beside them — newcomers to the URX running league already inside the top ten and in the second row of the women’s table.
Until 21 August UTC the race period is still open. In Open the winner is not who opened the week cleanly, but whose kilometres survive the remaining sixteen days without a break in rhythm. Pressure is building on two floors at once: for the leaders — not to give away what they have banked; for the newcomers — to prove that a first race in the league was not an episode, but the start of a real campaign.
