Clock (UTC). The window runs 00:00 on 1 May through 23:59 on 10 May. One verified run inside that span is the race.

After the window. The live phase closes on 10 May; official standings follow after verification. The Rulebook maps Under review → Results out; provisional order can shift until the race is finalised.

Why “1945”. A year that closed one era and opened another. The Historic series marks lines worth remembering; this nine kilometres is one of them.

Nine kilometres at race pace, clean verification, once. The Classic format does not allow the load to be spread across sessions; the whole distance must appear in a single verified activity.

May is already loaded: Streets is open, Goya is running, Solstice is building. Inside all of that, this is the shortest fixed target on the season’s calendar. The entry cost is low; the precision required is not.

• When to go — Ten days is enough room to wait for a good day, but not enough to keep delaying. Entering early removes a variable; leaving it late adds one.

• Pace vs verification — Nine kilometres at a stretch that passes verification is the only ask. Overreaching on pace in a dense May week is a separate risk.

• Enter vs stay out — One clean submission counts in full against everyone who does not race. There is no partial result for almost going.

A verified 9 km in the Classic line is in the record. 1945 and Thirteen are the only short classics in the season; both land inside months already carrying longer formats.

A result here registers against anyone who skips it. At Results out, the race locks; until then, provisional positions can move.
