Mistake

Pace Lock for this event means every counted session sits in a fixed corridor: 5:40–6:50 min/km. Work outside that band does not publish to Mistake—the format is strict by design, not a penalty event; the Rulebook covers publication and verification. Fifty kilometres total, built across the window under that rule; scoring detail lives in the Rulebook.

Clock (UTC). The live window runs UTC, from 00:00 on 10 April through 23:59 on 10 May. Only kilometres published to Mistake inside both the dates and the pace corridor count.

After the window. 10 May closes the live phase; official standings follow later. A few days before Results out is normal; heavier review can extend that. Provisional order can move until the race is Results out—see the Rulebook for Under review → Results out.

A corridor that reads almost comfortable on paper—until it has to hold across fifty cumulative kilometres. Fatigue pulls pace; weather and sleep push it the other way. The challenge is less “fast” than continuous: staying inside the rails when the body would rather cheat outward or inward.

The window spans a month, but the band does not widen mid-race. What feels easy early is the same narrow track late.

• Bank distance early vs hold for later legs — Lock in kilometres while freshness is high, or delay and risk a compressed finish if life interrupts.
• Tight vs buffer pacing — Hug the middle of the corridor or run closer to an edge; the edges buy seconds until they buy mistakes at publication.
• Enter vs stay out — Fifty locked kilometres with evidence, or no stake in this line on the leaderboard.

Mistake rewards control under load: the standings show who cleared 50 km inside 5:40–6:50 min/km and who did not. Late entry is still possible if the distance and the corridor are satisfied before 23:59 on 10 May UTC—the calendar is long, the band stay fixed.

At Results out, the result locks; until then, provisional standings may shift.
